24 Hour DO monitoring on six water bodies

In 2002, six priority sub-segments within the region were identified as having DO impairments or concerns. More data was needed to determine if the segments are actually impaired. During the summer of 2009, the City of Houston collected the first of six 24-hour dissolved oxygen measurements at each location. By the end of July 2011, five more monitoring events will be completed during the spring, summer, and winter seasons. All data is being submitted to TCEQ to help with the next assessment.
