Agricultural activity is focused in the southwestern watersheds of the San Jacinto-Brazos Coastal Basin as well as the San Bernard River. This portion of the region contains large acreages of land used for cattle and other livestock grazing and management. Some of the major crops grown in the region include cotton, rice, sorghum and other grains. These activities are also found in the westernmost portions of the Buffalo Bayou Above Tidal and the Cypress Creek watersheds.
